XVIII Announcement of Prizes J. García-Siñeriz

Terms and Conditions

First
A Prize of 9000 € will be granted to distinguish the best Geophysical Pure or Applied Doctoral Thesis made in Spanish or Ibero-American Universities.

Second
Lawyers and Engineers whose Thesis has been defended during year 2011 will be able to concur. 

All the candidates will present, along with the work, an accreditation of the Dean or Director of the Center in which it has been made. 

Third
The deadline of presentation of the works will be the of June 29, 2012.

The request will be presented including the Application form available in the Web, as well as a leter addressed to the President of the García-Siñeriz Foundation, with a complete copy of the work, a summary of it with an extension nonsuperior to five DIN-A4 pages and an electronic version of it (see rules), as well as supporting certifications.

Fourth
Prizes and help are indivisible and could be declared desert.

Fifth
The prize will be granted by a court composed by: Examining jury of Prizes J. García-Siñeriz.

Sixth
The criterion that will apply the Court will be the scientific or technical quality of the work. The decision will be taken by voting.

Seventh
The challenge of the Jury, who will be unquestionable, will be released before the October 30, 2012.

Eighth
All the applicants commit themselves to accept that the presented documentation may become a part of the J. García-Siñeriz Foundation´s Library, where it could be consulted and be reproduced.

Nineth
The works will be written in Spanish, English or Portuguese..

The works and documentation will be sent to the following direction:
