Rules to follow for the elaboration of the electronic version of the Thesis

General Information
• A printed copy will be presented as well as an electronic copy , that will be sent enclosed in CD or DVD.
• The electronic files enclosed will also be possible to include relevant information related to the work.
• The CD or DVD will have a directory with the thesis in two formats: Pdf and text, in agreement with the following rules:

PDF Files
All the electronic copy will consist of only a file.
Acrobat Fast Web View will be used:
– Edit > Preferences > General > Options > Save As Optimizes for Fast Web View. OK
– File > Save As: *.pdf
• Images will be optimized for the Web.
– Acquisition. The scanned resolution will have to be 72 ppp
– Generally, the maximum size of an image will not have to exceed 600 x 600 pixels. An image will not have to be redimensioned with a text processor, because an image of smaller surface will be obtained occupying the same number of bytes. Redimension images always with an image publishing program.
– Image Processing
    · JPEG: This format reduces image size, not the number of colors. It is the best for photographs.
    · GIF: This format reduces the number of colors, but it does not lose resolution. It is used for drawings, illustrations, diagrams and graphs with flat colors.
– In case of doubt, the best system is to optimize an image using one of the utilities that exist (for example, in Photoshop: File > Save the Web) compressing it in the mentioned formats and comparing large and quality.

Text Files
• Four documents in text format (*.txt) will be added containing the Index, the Summary, the Abstract and the Conclusions to display these data in HTML format making therefore the access faster.
